The Annual Loyalty Fund provides John Milledge a renewable source of revenue to be spent on expenditures that enhance both the breadth and depth of the educational experience for our students. As an independent school, JMA receives no federal, state, or local monies; thus, we depend on the Annual Giving Fund to cover costs which are not supported by tuition dollars.
Why is it important?
As what may be a surprise to many, tution only covers roughly 85% of what it costs to run our school. Funding must come from other sources, such as the ALF.
How is the money used?
The ALG allows us to:
- Reduce annual tuition increases.
- Have exceptional academic instruction and curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and beautiful environment for our children to spend their time.
- Offer each child vast areas to develop his/her social, physical, artistic, leadership, and other individual skills.
- Acquire and mantain an excellent staff of coaches, teachers, staff, and administration.
Why give?
Giving shows your support and confidence in our school. In addition, greater participation is a major factor when we apply for other funding from outside sources such as grants and foundation gifts. A higher percentage of participation shows that our families and friends are serious about the quality of our school and our chances greatly improve to receive these additional funds. Corportations and foundations look at the percentage of people who give to a school's Annual Fund as a way to measure the support that the school has among its own constituents. The more people in the JMA family that support the Annual Fund, the more likely a foundation is to give support on a specific project.
No gift is too big or too small... every gift counts.
