Capital Campaign
A capital campaign occurs during a specified period of time, usually a three to five year period: it provides funds for capital improvements or additions and allows for increases in the permanent endowment. Pledges to a capital campaign can usually be paid over a three to five year period.
Every five to ten years, we will have a major capital requirement, usually for buildings. As the name denotes, this would be a campaign that would raise a large amount of money and usually would require multi-year pledges.
The cost of these projects can be significant, and much of the money needed to pay for these expansions and improvements is raised through a capital campaign.
